PLACES TO VISIT
Locally
Castle Hill
The hill has been occupied since the Bronze Age. Once an Iron Age Hill Fort it still bears the earthworks that took place during this era. It now stands as proud host to the 'Jubilee Tower' built in 1899 to celebrate 60 years of Queen Victoria's reign. The 360-degree panoramic views from the top of the tower are breathtaking (so is the wind, so get wrapped up).
Almondbury

Excellent restaurant for eating out in ‘Nosh’.
